These include the relatively common TMD condition many patients have or more obscure maladies, such as Burning Mouth Syndrome or Glossopharyngeal Neuralgia. As an instructor in the Orofacial Clinic at UMDNJ Dental School, fellows and residents are taught how to handle these conditions. Their training program includes both clinical and academic modalities including a strong background in neurological and pharmacological sciences.
